Hi everyone,
The first days of the Bug Army Kickstarter have honestly been a bit surreal. The campaign has now unlocked its first two Stretch Goals, which means 8 additional squads are already joining the Bug Army roster only a few days after launch.
Seeing the faction start growing this quickly is really exciting because one of my main goals with this project was to make every unlock feel meaningful for actual gameplay. These new squads already add a lot more tactical variety to the army with additional assault troops, infiltration units, defensive infantry and new asymmetric warfare options.
The Bug Army is supposed to feel adaptable, aggressive and unpredictable on the battlefield, and seeing the roster expand in that direction already feels really good.
I also really want to thank everyone who took the time to share the campaign around social media, forums, Discord servers and hobby groups. Honestly, that helped me a lot these last few days.
I’ve spent so many years focusing almost entirely on building the project itself, the rules, the miniatures, the terrain systems, the website, the army builder and all the programming behind Damocles Wars, that I completely neglected the communication side for way too long.
So right now I’m trying to correct that. I’ve started contacting different newsletters, websites and YouTube channels to introduce the project to more people and hopefully help more players discover the game.
At the same time, I’m also working on gameplay videos, tutorials and future battle reports because I think Damocles Wars really starts making sense once you actually see armies moving and fighting on the tabletop.
The next Stretch Goal is already getting closer, and there’s still a lot more planned for the campaign.
Thank you again everyone for the support so far.
