Hi everyone!
It’s time for another monthly update! There has been a lot going on behind the scenes lately, and this month marks a small change of direction compared to the previous ones.
Last month, I continued working on the Greanan factions and released three new squads:
Netjeret Rebels – Sebakhy with Kopesh

Ta-Khefet – Sekhmet with Heavy Auto Plasma Rifle

Ta-Khefet – Wepwawet

This month, for August, I’m temporarily moving away from the Greanans to focus on finishing some of the last squads for the Bug Army:
Bug Army – Gakeas

Bug Army – Rider Captain

Bug Army – Warlord

So unlike the previous months, August will be mostly dedicated to the Bug Army rather than the Greanan factions. I still plan to release one special Greanan miniature for Patreon and Tribe supporters this month, though. I really don’t want to abandon them while I finish this other project!

I have to admit that I’m behind on pretty much everything at the moment. Every time I start a new miniature and think I know how long it will take, the project somehow ends up requiring three times as much work as expected. Sculpting and managing the physical printing side of Proxywars at the same time remains a real challenge, although I’m slowly getting better at balancing the two.
Starting this month, I’m going to try delegating part of the print-on-demand production. Hopefully this will free up more of my time for sculpting and allow me to move faster on the different army projects I have in mind.

The good news is that the three squads for next month are already finished. I still have some work to do on the final miniatures I wanted to add to the Bug Army Kickstarter, but I think I’m finally getting very close to the end.
It’s actually quite funny to look back at this project. The Bug Army started almost out of nowhere, without much planning, and somehow I’ve now been working on it for about a year. Seeing everything together, I’m really happy with how far the faction has come. More importantly, completing all these miniatures has given me much more confidence about tackling some of the other factions from the Proxywars universe that I’ve wanted to sculpt for a very long time.
But first... I want to properly finish the Bug Army!
The Proxywars website has finally been updated!
I also finally found some time to make a substantial update to the Damocles Wars section of the Proxywars website.
I cleaned up and expanded the lore that I had mostly written while I was hospitalized, added several rules clarifications that became necessary after receiving feedback from actual games, and fixed a number of graphical bugs that had accumulated on the site.
And, most importantly, I finally implemented something I’ve wanted for a long time:
You can now export your army list directly as a PDF with a single click.

The PDF includes your army profiles as well as separate pages containing the special rules actually used by your army. This means you can build your army online and then simply print the document or keep the PDF with you during the game, without having to constantly check the website on a phone.
It’s a small feature, and I am still improving it, but in practice I find it incredibly convenient.
My kids definitely prefer playing this way too!
You can explore the factions, lore and army builder here:

(you will need to connect to save army list and print pdf)
There is still a lot I want to finish, both for the Bug Army and Damocles Wars in general, but things are steadily coming together. Thank you, as always, for supporting the project and giving me the opportunity to keep developing this universe, its armies and the game around them!
